- On the obverse side appears: The Virgin Immaculate Conception in the centre, and the following inscription surrounds her: She received a thousand parabienes. Oh! Purísima María. Show that you are our mother.
- There is a signature with two initials: AM. We have not been able to locate the author.
- On the reverse is the following: ‘Cofradía de La Purísima. Franciscan Fathers. Alicante. 1946’.
- Edge: Plain without any inscription.
- It is a beautiful medal, oval with lobes.
- The artistic quality of the medal is high, executed in a very personal style and with great skill, achieving harmonious and expressive effects in the high reliefs.

- The medal, taken as a whole, is in perfect condition.
- It has a beautiful period patina. There are a few minor knocks and scratches.
