Description:
- Used 50-centime postage stamp from Spain, dated 1931. Colour: Orange.
- On the obverse, within an oval, is the bust of King Alfonso XIII facing left, shown in profile, in orange and white. At the top, ‘ESPAÑA’ in white. At the bottom, “CORREOS” and “CÉNTIMOS” in orange on a white background within a rectangle, and “50” in white on an orange background. In the bottom right-hand corner, outside the rectangle, is the signature E. VAQUER.
- The postmark is straight. On the reverse, the control numbers are visible, very faint in blue ink.
- Vertical perforation: 14. Vertical perforations: 13.
- Horizontal perforation: 12. Horizontal perforations: 11.
- Printed on thin, good-quality paper, very light off-white, in a single-colour orange tone, with very good ink, good printing and very poor centring.
- No distinguishing features, marks or contrasts have been found that might provide further information about this postage stamp.
Conservation and Damage:
- General condition: Good.
- The stamp has been recently washed, so it no longer has any gum.
- No tears or breaks are visible on the stamp.
- The perforation has some missing teeth.
- The postage stamp shows the wear and tear typical of it's age.
