- On the obverse, within a gray oval, is the left-facing bust of King Alfonso XII in gray. 'CORREOS Y TELEGs' in gray on the upper side, within a white space. '25 CENTIMOS' in gray on the lower side, within a white space. All surrounded by watermarks.
- Circular postmark not legible.
- On the reverse, the postmark shows through.
- Vertical perforation: 17. Vertical perforations: 16.
- Horizontal perforation: 14. Horizontal perforations: 13.
- Printed on good-quality, thin, very light off-white paper in a single-color gray. Very good ink, good embossing, and poor centering.
- No hallmarks, marks, or hallmarks have been found that could provide further information about this postage stamp.
