- The book, written in Spanish.
- The author Fray Francisco Larraga, a religious friar, was appointed prison prior of the University and convent of Santiago de Pamplona. His aim was to produce a compendium of Moral Theology that would serve priests and confessors to acquire a basic formation in this subject that would prepare them to study other treatises in depth.
- The first fifteen editions are distinguished. This edition follows the original wording of the one corrected by the author in 1710.
- The rest of the editions, including this one, contain commentaries or summaries by other authors.
- It has a beautiful filigree flourish, at the beginning and end of the book.

- Good execution sewn binding, with guillotined cuts, from the Second Half of the 18th Century.
- Text and Illustrations in single-colour black printing, very good ink, well centred and with good margins.
- Book printed on medium thick, good quality, laid white paper.

- Stamped on spine: 'LARRAGA' Illustrated and added'.
Conservation and damage:
- General condition: Good.
- Sewn binding in fair condition. Covers almost detached from the spine.
- Cuts splattered with fine black specks, with some soiling and minimal rubbing.
- Although the book is fairly clean, there are a few booklets that are much browned.
- There is a rust stain on the top edge affecting several of the last few pages.
- The endpapers are slightly deteriorated with light creasing and bending.
- The book has not suffered external aggressions such as attacks by insects, rodents, etc.
- On the last three pages, the top corners are stained.
- Loose spine detached from covers, fatigued.
- Book shows wear typical of it's age.
Comments:
- Both the Measurements, as well as the Weight, are approximate.
- In order to take photos of the interior pages, these have been held with tweezers.
- Very interesting book as a collector's item and curiosity.
- The tones of the colours of the photos are not exactly the same as the tones of the real colours.
