Description:
- Small circular Dish, of good quality, with a central lump and a superficial cord highlighting the drawing. The dish is made of beige enamelled earthenware, with metallic lustre decoration of acceptable quality, probably made in Manises (Valencia - Spain), in the second half of the 19th century. Due to its characteristics, it could have been made at the beginning of the 19th century. In our opinion, the Platito has late Mudejar influences.
- The Platito has a medium thickness, with no sound to the touch. The beige glaze is very thick, which gives the Platito a high quality.
- On the upper side, the metallic lustre decoration forms a design with four axes topped with a superficial cord that emphasises the forms of the design. The entire design is developed around a central nipple topped with helicoidal blades.
- On the underside of the dish there is no pattern of any kind, and the beige enamel can be seen in all its splendour. It has the three marks of the firing support.
- We think that this dish has three phases of firing. The first phase involves firing the virgin earthenware in the kiln. In a second phase the dish is fired with the application of the yellowish beige glaze. And a third phase in which the dish is fired again with the application of the metallic lustre paint.
- All these characteristics of the small plate give it a very interesting patina, with a very attractive and high quality appearance.
- The dish does not have any Distinctive, Mark or Contrast, in order to be able to identify data such as its maker, the place where it was made and other details.

Conservation and Damage:
- The dish in question is in good condition, especially the metallic highlights, which are fairly well preserved, except for wear and tear.
- There is chipping on the rim due to a blow, approximately half a square centimetre in area, which detracts from the overall appearance.
- There is minor chipping and rubbing on the edges, on the cord and on the lug. There are no manufacturing flaws.
- It shows signs of age-related wear and tear, as well as some stains. It has minor flaws.
