- Cinnabar is a type of mineral. It was widely used in antiquity for different purposes, among them, as a colouring agent for sealing wax, as a medical treatment, etc. It can be found in all places that produce mercury.
- The perfume box is carved with floral motifs. On each side is an Asian figure, one in a dancing position and the other in an offering position.
- The base and mouth are covered with brass. The cover of the base is stamped with a Chinese seal.
