Description:
- Porcelain mug with seal on the back.
- Cup with top rim decorated with gold flecks. Could be gold leaf.
- Bordering the cup is an intaglio of a reclining woman and an angel, possibly a reference to a mythological scene. It bears Kaufmann"s signature.
- Angelica Kaufmann (1741-1807) was a Swiss painter of the Central European Neoclassical period who was a prolific portrait painter. She was one of the founders of the Royal Academy of Arts in London.
- The decal is probably a copy of one of this great painter"s works.
- On its base is the stamp of the BE porcelain factory together with a numbering, 239. We do not know what this refers to.
- The fact that the object has a distinctive mark or contrast is of great importance in order to be able to identify data such as its author, the place where it was made and other details.
Conservation and damage:
- The piece is in perfect condition.
- The porcelain has no hairs or pitting.
- It is in very good condition. There is no damage, and the vivid colours, especially the gilding, remain intact.
- The gilt border around the edge of the dish shows some wear.
- The object shows wear typical of it"s age.

Comments:
- Both the measurements and the weight are approximate.

- Very interesting as a collector"s item and as a decorative element.

- The tones of the colours in the photos are not the same as the tones of the real colours.

- The object for sale is the one that corresponds to the photos. The description is not a detailed exposition of the object.
