Description:
- Arabic Madrasa glazed ceramic inkwell.
- Madrasa is the name given in Arabic culture to any kind of school, whether religious or secular. The specific usage in the West usually refers to an Islamic religious school.
- A beautiful Arabic inkwell, with five ink reservoirs plus the main inkwell.
- The inkwell is painted and enamelled. The colours are very beautiful, with a light greenish base, and floral decorations. Mixed with blues and oranges.
- The base is unpainted, and the enamel on the inside has a rather pronounced crackle.
- No distinctive mark or contrast has been found that could provide information on where it was made, the maker's details, or any other information.

Conservation and Damage:
- The inkwell is whole, and in a good state of preservation.
- It retains a nice period patina.
- It has bumps and scuffs due to age. With chipped areas, and parts where the paint has been lost.
- The object shows the wear and tear of it's age.

Comments:
- Both measurements and weight are approximate.
- The tones of the colours in the photos are not the same as the tones of the real colours.
- The object for sale is the one that corresponds to the photos. The description is not a detailed exposition of it.
- The data provided here are personal opinions not contrasted.
