Description:
Beautiful hanging bell, small size, with a lip diameter of 9'2 cm. and that at the time was used for various purposes. One of the most common uses was to notify the opening of a door, and for this the bell was hung from a small bracket located in the same door. The bell is unused, so the interior of the Half Foot does not have the footprint of the clapper. He does not have the clapper, which has been lost. The ring of the clapper is missing by oxidation. It could be, due to the defective casting of the upper part of the third and the aspect that presents, that probably the bell would merge with the prefabricated handle, which would make difficult its execution. A casting of the bell with these defects, could have been the cause of its possible abandonment in a humid place, which produced its great oxidation, and the disappearance of the ring. Therefore, its abandonment would explain that the casting of the bell is virgin, without reviewing the damages, as can be easily observed by the two protuberances inside the medium. Very interesting as a piece of collection, and because of its extraordinary patina, its appearance is very decorative. Spectacular in an illuminated alcove, with a minimalist decoration.
