Description:
- Used postage stamp, 12 pence, from Germany, year 1950. Dark green. In the upper left corner has the Cipher ‘10+2’. Second centenary of the death of Johan Sebastian Bach.
- On the obverse it has a crowned interlace in white. At the bottom it has the phrase ‘Siegel von Joh. Seb. Bach’ which means “Seal of Johann Sebastian Bach”. Below this is the date +28.VII.1750, the date of his death.
- The reverse is clean, with the exception of the postmark.
- Vertical teeth:23. Vertical perforations:22.
- Horizontal indentation:19. Horizontal perforations:18.
- Postmark illegible.
- Printed on medium thick paper of good quality, very light off-white, made in dark green monochrome, very good ink, good stamping and good centring.
- No distinctive, mark or contrast has been found, that could give more information about this Postal Stamp.

Conservation and Damage:
- General condition: Good.
- The stamp has been recently washed, so the gum is missing.
- The paper is clean and has small rust spots.
- Regularly preserved, with a rather short tooth.
- There are no faults or breaks on the stamp.
- The postage stamp shows the deterioration typical of it's time.

Comments:
- Measurements are approximate.
- The tones of the colours of the photos are not equal to the tones of the real colours.
