FRANC COIN 25 PESETAS 1957 *70 - DEFECTIVE

Description:
- Coin of TWENTY-FIVE PESETAS, with circular form, of the time of the Spanish State presided by Francisco Franco Bahamonde, designed in the year 1957 and minted by the Fábrica Nacional de Moneda y Timbre in the year 1970.
- Obverse: Bas-relief of the Bust of General Francisco Franco Bahamonde, designed by the sculptor Mariano Benlliure Gil. It is unsigned. In its inner perimeter it has the legend “FRANCISCO FRANCO CAUDILLO DE ESPAÑA POR LA GRACIA DE DIOS” “1957”. On its outer perimeter it has a border of hemispherical dots.
- Reverse: Bas-relief of the Coat of Arms of Spain, with the Eagle of St. John, and the yoke and arrows at its base. On its sides there are two columns with a band with the legend “PLUS ULTRA”. On the head of the Eagle there is a band with the legend “UNA GRANDE LIBRE”. On its inner perimeter it has the legend “25 PTAS” and a “STAR” with the mint year inside “70”. On its outer perimeter it has a border of hemispherical dots.
- Edge: Plain with the legend “ONE GREAT FREE.”
- It has a manufacturing defect, which is a bite in the edge, to the right of the bust, in its upper part, and to the right of the eagle, in its lower part.
- This coin is made with an alloy of Nickel and a small amount of Copper.
- No distinctive, mark or contrast has been located that could provide more information about this coin.

Conservation and Damage:
- Its condition is DEFECTUOUS - Poor Conservation - It retains an attractive patina, and has been left original without cleaning.
- Both the obverse and reverse of the coin show medium wear, with a multitude of small scratches and dents.
- The Plain Edge with the legend shows many dings and high wear.
