LARGE BRONZE BELL WITH ORIGINAL CLAPPER. WITH CHAIN.

Description:
- Beautiful large bell, made of bronze except for the clapper attachment, which is made of iron. It has a chain attached to the clapper, with a wooden handle.
- Bells of this type were used for various purposes, the most common use being to warn of the presence of certain animals, for which it was hung from the animal's collar, but in this case it is perhaps too large for that purpose, so it could be used to announce important events, as part of religious or civil rituals.
- The shoulder, the upper part of the bell, has two rings. The half-foot, where the clapper strikes, has decorative rings that are lowered and reinforced. Overall, the bell has a good thickness.
- The hitch and ring have some rust, while the ball is made of bronze and soldered to the hitch.
