Description:
Beautiful and spectacular English watch made by Samuel Smith and his son of the same name. It begins to manufacture in 9 Strand WC in the year 1895, dating this clock to very principles of S. XX. Enameled white dial, well preserved. Hourly main dial with Roman numerals. Secondary sphere for seconds with Arabic numerals. Black needles and numbers. The watchmaker"s signature is in the main sphere. It would sound at the request of hours and rooms. Rope for 8 days. The machinery has a flywheel with balancing screws. It has inscribed a cross and the number 7032. The machinery is not signed and is of great size, occupying the whole of the box. The box and its two covers, are inscribed the numbers 45 and 148254. It is a mixture of white metals, with nickel or chrome finish. Probably nickel-plated. State of march. Needs cleaning and set up. Because the differences in tonalities between photos and reality are inevitable, it must be borne in mind that the color tones of the photos are not exactly the same as the tones of the actual colors. The Piece presents the own attrition of its time, as well as some stains. It has small damages. The data provided here are unconfirmed personal opinions.
