Description:
- The Object for sale is the one that corresponds to the photos, which in turn are complemented in this Description, with the objective of providing a better knowledge of the Object, and never being a detailed exposition of it.
- Pair of reversible Nutcrackers, sensibly equal, made of turned, forged and chiseled iron, bathed in a thick layer of silver, also chiseled.
- One arm of one of the Nutcrackers has three punches with different marks or contrasts, which probably correspond to the place where it was manufactured, the manufacturer"s data, and the date of manufacture. The first is a "TLEM" monogram, the second is what looks like an emblem in the shape of an "octopus, jellyfish or ghost", and the third is another "AI" monogram. In the other Nutcracker, which is a pair, we have not found any distinctive, mark or contrast.
- The two Nutcrackers are a pair, although they have different sizes and shapes, very similar, as they are the product of a manual execution.
- The silver coating is made by electroplating, with a layer of significant thickness, which facilitates the chiseled detail that has been made, with a spectacular result.
- We think that they could be of English invoice, of the Georgian epoch, being this one understood between the years 1714 and 1830.
- The well-known English brand Walker & Hall, from Sheffield, started its journey in 1845 making several types of Nutcrackers, with similar characteristics to ours, but using a much more industrialized manufacturing system.
- In this type of pieces, made of silvered iron by electroplating, it is very rare to find any distinctive, mark or contrast, which makes this pair of Nutcrackers where one of them does have them, very peculiar pieces.
- The box in which they are presented, is not their original box, but despite this, they fit very well.
- The box is of time, approximately the same as the Nutcracker.

Conservation and damage:
- The Nutcrackers, considered globally, are in very good condition, bearing in mind the following observations.
- They have been thoroughly cleaned and rust removed. The two arms of the Nutcrackers are perfectly straight, not having suffered any curvature, due to the little use they have suffered.
- The box opens and closes perfectly. Lined with leather, it has small frictions on the edges, due to its use and time.
- The box is in a pretty good state. The lid keeps the original fabric padding inside, although with some rust stains due to time.
- In the base of the box the velvet is kept in a very good state of conservation, which is where the two Nutcrackers are fitted.

Comments:
- It is very rare to find nutcrackers in such a good state of conservation.

- We have not found any other silver iron nutcracker that is punched.

- Both the Measures, and the Weight, are approximate.

- Very interesting as a collection piece and as a decorative element.

- Since differences in tones between photos and reality are inevitable, you must bear in mind that the tones of the colors in the photos are not exactly the same as the tones of the real colors.

- The object has the wear and tear of its time, as well as some stains. It has small flaws.

- The data provided here are non-contrasting personal opinions.

SHIPMENTS ARE MADE ON MONDAYS.
