Description:
- Round medal with flat handle and ring from the first half of the 20th century.
- Plain edge with no inscription.
- Obverse: The profile of St. Francis of Assisi appears, and bordering the medal the words: Stvs Franciscus Serapbicus. At the bottom are two signatures: Kissing and Depose.
- Reverse: Depicts the apparition of the stigmata of St. Francis, in which it is said that when he was praying on a mountain he had a vision of an angel and received the stigmata on his hands, feet and side. For him it was the message in which God revealed to him the moment of his departure.
- Heinrich Kissing was an internationally renowned engraver and established a company of the same name. For more than 160 years, traditional religious devotional objects such as crosses, medals, brother brooches and rosary elements have been produced in unchanged form and of the highest quality.
- The medal is very finely crafted, has an excellent workmanship, with harmonious and expressive effects in the high reliefs.
