Description:
- Beautiful Nandi. Cebu bronze sitting. Bull. In Hindu mythology, Nandi is Cebu who transports Shiva, that is, the vehicle of God. In addition, Nandi is the porter and companion of Shiva, so that also is in the Pantheon of the Gods, considering therefore like a Deity. Shiva is one of the Gods of the Hindu Trinity, being the main Deity. Shiva has three eyes, the third in the middle of the forehead, which is the eye of wisdom. With them you can see past, present and future. Nandi"s four legs represent truth, righteousness, peace and love. We think that this sculpture is very early 19th century, but because of its fantastic patina, and by its characteristics, could very well be from the Second Half of the S. XVIII. This Cebu of bronze, has been executed and chiselled exquisitely, being attached to its base by means of rivets. These types of sculptures have been elaborated from ancient times to the present, and with the most diverse materials, always as a symbol of Deity for the home.

Conservation and Damage:
- Rare piece to find. Very interesting as a collection and decorative piece.
- Spectacular in an illuminated alcove, with a minimalist decoration.

Comments:
- Because the differences in tonalities between photos and reality are inevitable, it must be borne in mind that the color tones of the photos are not exactly the same as the tones of the actual colors.
- The Piece presents the own attrition of its time, as well as some stains. It has small damages.
