Description:
Precious golden bronze knocker, made in three pieces, of modernist style, from the First Half S.XX It represents the face of a lion.
The lion-shaped base has the lower jaw that is removed by two screws from the back. This allows the ring to be removed at a stroke.
The snap ring has a scallop on the bottom, while its sides are decorated with leaves and scrolls. It is of great quality, both in its sculptural treatment and its foundry.
The eyebrow and part of the right cheekbone of the lion have worn gold, which gives it a spot that resembles the natural asymmetrical spots of the animals. This wear brings great personality.
The knocker has other parts with gold wear. It has a small bump on the upper part of the right eyebrow.
It is rare to find knockers with this quality. Very interesting as a collector"s item and decorative element. Spectacular in an illuminated niche, with minimalist decoration.
