Description:
Precious pinza for paper, of Greek manufacture, with high reliefs of classic thematic in both faces, destined to the sector of the souvenir.
It is made with an alloy of metals, in which copper predominates. It was probably made by melting the metal alloy into molds, and it could be that the foundry was injected into closed molds. We located it very early in the Second Half of the 20th century, although it could very well be in the first half of the 20th century. The state of conservation is magnificent, keeping the spring all its elasticity.
On the obverse is depicted the profile bust of Alexander the Great, with a legend on its perimeter with Greek letters. On the back is a quadriga on a geometric border, and with two geometric symbols in the sky, one probably representing the sun, and to compensate for its presence, another angular and threatening on the horses of the cuadriga
The two high reliefs are of a magnificent invoice and very high quality of execution, with a very balanced composition. This piece has a fantastic patina, so, together with its characteristics, it has a really attractive appearance.
This type of pieces, although they were manufactured in considerable quantities, are rare to find. Very interesting as a collector"s item.
