Description:
Rectangular carpet with Chubi design, made in the Caucasus, wool colored with natural dyes and hand knotted. The Chubi design has a French origin with oriental influence, based on natural forms and avoiding geometric medallions, achieving great beauty and balance. This type of carpets, follow patterns inspired by the oldest traditions of the District of Arak, in Persia, obtaining a result of great resistance and durability. The background is of a very light golden beige color, with lateral flowerbeds in which the dark garnet lines predominate. Its perimeter has a matt garnet valance with golden beige fleurons. The overall result is very pleasant, with subdued drawings predominating. The state of conservation is very good, with a minimum age and being practically unused.
The measurements are approximate. Very interesting as a collector"s item and decorative element. It could be spectacular on a wall as a tapestry, giving a touch of color.
