Rectangular rug with Anahid design, made in the Punjab, northwest Pakistan, adjoining with Kashmir, Australian wool and Bamboo Silk, which gives it a silky touch with matt shine. It is knotted by hand with a high knot density, which gives it great durability, and allows a high definition of the drawings.
The Anahid design has its origin in western Persia, based on natural forms and avoiding geometric medallions, achieving great beauty and balance. The field is maroon. It does not have corners marked with drawings. The border has a dark beige outer edge, the main edge is light beige and the inner edge is dark. The central zone has no medallions, and the corners are not marked with drawings. The border, with its outer edge, main edge and inner edge, maintains the same design as the central area.
The central area and the border are full of small floral drawings of a strong pink color, forming an authentic filigree. The strong pink patterns are discolored in some parts, reaching approximately 50% of the carpet. The overall result is very pleasant, with subdued drawings and light colors prevailing, achieving great beauty and balance.
