Description:
- Reversible nutcracker, made of turned and forged iron, covered with a thick layer of silver.
- The silver coating is made by electroplating, with a layer of significant thickness.
- We think that it could be of English manufacture, from the Georgian period, and that it was made between 1714 and 1830.
- The well-known English brand Walker & Hall, from Sheffield, started its activity in 1845 making several types of Nutcrackers, with similar characteristics to ours, but using a much more industrialised manufacturing system.

Conservation and damage:
- A thorough cleaning and rust removal has been carried out. The two arms of the nutcracker are perfectly straight, having not suffered any curvature due to their little use.
- The Nutcracker shows stains and wear, due to the use and product of the eliminated rust.

Comments:
- Both the measurements and the weight are approximate.

- Very interesting as a collector"s item and as a decorative element.

- Because it is inevitable the differences of tonalities between photos and reality, you must have in mind that the tones of the colours in the photos are not exactly equal to the tones of the real colours.

- The Object for sale is the one that corresponds to the photos, which in turn are complemented in this Description, with the aim of providing a better knowledge of the Object, and never being a detailed exhibition of it.

- The data provided here are not contrasted personal opinions.
