Description:
- Plumb bob Incomplete construction from the second half of the 17th century, with a solid bronze weight and without preserving the nut.
- The body of the weight is truncated cone-shaped, 6.9 cm. high and 4.5 cm. in diameter, with a fixed head.
- Due to its characteristics it could be earlier, but we are more inclined towards the second half of the 17th century. It is a rare and high quality plumb bob.
- On one of the sides it has what looks like a blow or casting fault, but we think it is a mark of ownership,
- The bronze has a very good composition, retaining a natural lustre.
- The fact that a plumb bob has a distinctive mark or contrast, other than the number of its size, is a very rare detail and of great importance for the interest of the plumb bob.
- The plumb bob was probably made in southern Europe.
Conservation and damage:
- The plumb bob is in a good state of preservation, although the Weight has many, but very small knocks and scratches.
- The quality of the bronze casting and the execution of the plumb bob is very good.
- There is a very good and nice patina all over the plumb bob.
- The plumb bob shows the wear and tear of it"s age.

Comments:
- Both the measurements and the weight are approximate.
- Very interesting as a collector- The tones of the colours in the photos are not equal to the tones of the real colours.
- The object for sale is the one that corresponds to the photos. The description is not a detailed description of the object.
