Description:
- Plumb bob construction with nut, from the first half of the 21st century, with bronze weight and threaded head.
- Thread of medium size and large diameter, with a medium thread and pitch.
- The shape of it"s body is cylindrical, with a cone at the lower base and a threaded hole at the upper base, into which the bolt of its head is screwed.
- The shape of it"s head is a sphere, with a hexagon at its base, from which protrudes a threaded bolt for screwing the head to the body. The whole head has a central hole for the rope guide.
- The nut is horizontal, made of solid bronze. It is cylindrical in shape, tapering in the middle, so that the rope can be wound onto it.
- The nut has a perforation perpendicular to its axis, and in its centre, to guide the rope.
- Throughout the body there are several deep grooves, creating a harmonious overall effect.
- The plumb bob is in it"s original blister pack. Created by ACHA, a Basque company that has been manufacturing measuring tools since 1963, exceeding the highest standards in the sector.
Preservation and damage:
- The plumb bob is in a good state of preservation. The weight has several stains, but only minor knocks and scratches.
