Description:

- This is a mortar, made now, reproducing the rib mortars of the 15th-16th century, with rings.
- The mortar, made of bronze, is very heavy and therefore solid.
- It has several knocks, mainly on the base, probably done deliberately to give the appearance of age and heavy use.
- It retains the original hand and the two rings at each end.
- It had a layer of varnish and we have removed it.
- No distinctive mark or contrast has been found that could provide information on where it was made, the maker's details, or any other information.
Conservation and Damage:
- It is in very good condition for it’s use.
- It has several knocks.
