Beautiful bronze medal by Alphé Dubois, for the Ministry of Agriculture of the French Republic. It was destined for the members of the jury of the general agricultural competition of Paris. It is not closed. On the obverse is engraved the complete signature of the author "Alphée Dubois". On the obverse is the recordings "Republique Francaise". Science. The scene on the obverse depicts two women in the foreground. One has the sickle in the right hand and keeps with the left a beam of cereals, while the other claims his attention by pointing to the word "Sciencie". In the background you can see a man sowing. On the back is engraved the initials of A.D. The reverse has the recordings: "Ministere de L"Agricculture". "Sciencie Labeur". The scene on the back represents a heterogeneous bundle of wheat, grapevines and other flowers, with a centered area for inscriptions framed by scrolls, in which the figure "Concours General Agricole de Paris" Membre du Jury". In the song of the medal is engraved a tiny logo along with the word "bronze". Alphée Dubois was a French medalist, born in 1831 and died in 1905. He had a great recognition in life, winning important prizes. Very interesting as a piece of collection.
