Description:
Beautiful bell to hang. This is a small hanging bell, with a lip diameter of 8"9 cm, and which at the time was used for various purposes. The shoulder is decorated with a series of concentric circles. It has an inscription that is possible to interpret in part, so it can be glimpsed, like the word "WIMELSER", and that probably could be the name of the smelter, since it has not been able to relate with any known word.
The middle foot, where the Badajoe hits, is reinforced externally and marked with two rings and the thickness of the foot, marked in turn by a third circle. The large ring, and the Badajo, are preserved in perfect condition. One of the most common uses was to notify the opening of a door, and for this the bell was hung from a small bracket located in the same door.
The bell is little used, reason why the interior of the half foot has the footprint of the Badajo slightly marked. After carefully examining the hood, we have come to the conclusion that it is cast in one piece, including the handle. A possible temporary abandonment in an area with high humidity, would explain the oxidation of the interior of the hood.

Comments:
Comments: It is rare to find such a complete bell. Very interesting as a piece of collection, and because of its extraordinary patina, its appearance is very decorative. Because differences in tonalities between photos and reality are inevitable, it must be borne in mind that the color tones of the photos are not exactly the same as the tones of the actual colors. It presents the own attrition of its time, as well as some stains. It has small damages. The data provided here are unconfirmed personal opinions.
