Description:
Precious bracelet carved in bone in one piece, is typical of Central Africa. It can easily be 50 years old, approximately. Its base section is rectangular. It has a popular size, in all the external and superior side of the rectangle, and some incisions forming triangles in its lower side. The inner side is smooth.
The popular carving has four equal scenes, framed laterally between trunks of trees, on a smooth lower base and an upper top with leaves that symbolize the tops of the trees. The four scenes represent two elephants with a central lion.
It has some yellow spots, especially on some of the leaves carved on the upper side of the rectangle. The patina presented by the bracelet is quite good. Spectacular in an illuminated niche, with minimalist decoration.
