Description:
- Small octagonal dish, of good quality, which has a perimeter edge of 2 cm with an inclination of 45 degrees. The dish is made of beige glazed earthenware, with metallic lustre decoration of acceptable quality, probably made in Manises (Valencia - Spain), in the first half of the 20th century. Due to its characteristics, it could have been made at the end of the 19th century. In our opinion, the Platito has late Mudejar influences.
- The Platito has a medium thickness, with no sound to the touch. The beige glaze is very thick, which gives the Platito a high quality.
- On the upper face, the metallic lustre decoration forms a pattern symmetrical to the axes perpendicular to the larger sides, finished off by a border around the perimeter. The entire design is set around a central blank circle.
- On the underside of the dish there is no pattern of any kind, and the beige enamel is visible in all its splendour.
- We think that this dish has three phases of firing. The first phase involves firing the virgin earthenware in the kiln. In a second phase, the dish is fired with the application of the yellowish beige glaze. And a third phase in which the dish is fired again with the application of the metallic lustre paint.
- All these characteristics of the little plate give it a very interesting patina, with a very attractive and high quality appearance.
- The dish does not have any Distinctive, Mark or Contrast, in order to be able to identify data such as its maker, the place where it was made and other details.

Conservation and Damage:
- The Dish in question is in Very Good Condition, especially the metallic highlights which are fairly well preserved, with the exception of wear from use, mainly in the centre of the base of the upper face.
- There are small chips on the corners of the rim, due to rubbing and minor knocks. No manufacturing flaws.
- It shows signs of age-related wear and tear, as well as some stains. It has small flaws.
