Description:
Spectacular Travel Writing Box. This Notary Public is intended for use in travel. It is a piece made with a kind of paper mache or cardboard stone, completely handmade. The Clerk is composed of two parts. The inkwell and the handle, which are screwed together. This thread has deteriorated and lost its function, due to the time, the use and the corrosion caused by the inks. The inkwell itself is made of glass, handmade, and lined with paper mache or cardboard with which the male thread is formed. The Mango is also made of papier mache or cardboard stone, and in its lower part the female thread is formed. The Mango is hollow, and opens at its center by means of a tongue and groove under pressure, to introduce in it, the holder and the pen. The upper part of the Mango is quite damaged in the area of ??the tongue and groove. After having carefully analyzed the writing, we have come to the conclusion that it might be a piece belonging to a very earlier period, which perhaps could be placed in the First Half of the sixteenth century. Undoubtedly, the palillero and the pens are very later, belonging to the nineteenth and even early S. XX. It is very rare to find a notary with these characteristics. The most common travel offices are later and their execution is mechanized. The travel offices have been elaborated from ancient times to the present, and with the most diverse materials and forms. Very interesting as a collection and decorative piece. We have never seen anything like it.

Comments:
Because the differences in tonalities between photos and reality are inevitable, it must be borne in mind that the color tones of the photos are not exactly the same as the tones of the actual colors. It presents the own attrition of its time, as well as some stains. It has small damages. The data provided here are unconfirmed personal opinions.
