Description:
- Rectangular stamped medal, with flat handle and ring. Probably from the first half of the 20th century, although it could be earlier.
- Obverse: The Virgin Mary appears with the child Jesus, defeating the devil who is represented as a serpent. Below it has the following inscription: "MARIA REPARATRIX ORA PRO NOBIS" together with a badge that we have not been able to recognise.
- Reverse: Four angels on the sides, and the initials: M-R. Between a chalice with a ball at its feet. The following inscription also appears: "MUNDUS REPARATIONE SALVABITUR PIUS P.P. IX.
- Chant: Plain without any inscription.
- The artistic quality of the medal is very high, executed in a very personal style and with great ease, achieving harmonious and expressive effects in the high reliefs.
- The fact that the object has a distinctive mark or contrast is of great importance in order to be able to identify data such as its author, the place where it was made and other details.
Conservation and damage:
- The medal is in very good condition.
- Both the obverse and reverse show minimal wear.
