Description:
- Pretty and funny napkin ring of a girl playing the bass drum. In this case the bass drum acts as a napkin ring.
- The girl is dressed in the style of 'Kate Greenaway', famous English writer and illustrator of children's books in the middle of the 19th century. She wears a dress with a bow and a pretty cap of the period.
- The napkin ring and the girl are perched on a base with floral decoration. The whole piece is in the Art Nouveau style. Art Nouveau.
- Probably made of nickel silver with a silver coating.
- It is numbered. On the base is the following contrast: 'Simpson Hall Miller & Co. Quadruple. Plate. U.S.A.'.
- Simpson Hall Miller & Co, was a manufacturer of silver cutlery and holloware in Connecticut, USA, and was founded in 1866. By 1895, the company was operating large factories in Canada. In 1898 it became part of the 'International Silver Company' and continued to operate under the same brand name.
- The workmanship is very good, with good proportions and a superb result.
- The fact that the object has a hallmark, mark or contrast is of great importance in order to be able to identify data such as its maker, the place where it was made and other details.

Conservation and Damage:
- The figure is in a very good state of preservation.
- The silver plating shows significant wear.
- There are small scratches. There are small stains on the base.
- The piece shows wear typical of it's age.

Comments:
- Both the measurements and the weight are approximate.
- Very interesting as a collector's item and as a decorative element.
- Due to the unavoidable differences in tonalities between photos and reality, it must be taken into account that the tones of the colours in the photos are not exactly the same as the tones of the real colours.
- The object is subject to age-related wear and tear, as well as some stains. It has minor flaws.
