- Beautiful mirror with square box, probably of Chinese origin.
- The upper part of the box is made of porcelain, hand-painted, and on the back is the mirror which is joined to the porcelain by a metal finial.
- The base of the box is made entirely of metal, with floral decorations surrounding it.
- The porcelain is beautifully decorated, with two characters in the centre. Hand-painted.
- It is complete, and the mirror is whole and unbroken.
- It is of medium size, so it is probably intended as a travel mirror, to be carried in a handbag.
- No distinctive markings, marks or contrasts have been found that could provide information on where it was made, the maker's details, or any other information.

Conservation and Damage:
- The mirror is in very good condition.
- It has small scratches due to age. They do not appear to be noticeable.
- The Object shows the wear and tear typical of it’s age.
