Description:

- Bachiller was a lithographic establishment with activity in Madrid between 1835 and 1854. This engraving is dated 1849.
- It probably belongs to an Atlas, in this case, ‘Atlas de España de Bachiller. Province of Alicante. Valencia. 1849
- The engraving, made in colour, represents the province of Alicante. It has the legend on the right-hand side, and the map is represented in miles and leagues.
- Geographical miles of 60 to the degree, and Spanish leagues of 20 to the degree. Eastern longitude 3º of the Madrid meridian.
- In the lower left and right margins are the identifications of the engraver, printer and draughtsman. E. Massinger delineated and lithographed. Created by Bachiller, Madrid.
- Medium size, unframed.
Conservation and Damage:
- Very good general condition.
- The engraving has a thin and good quality paper.
- The paper is somewhat dirty, with some rust stains.
- If it were cleaned, the result could be very acceptable.
- In the upper area it has the mark of having been folded. It is very subtle.
- The engraving has the wear of it's time.
