- The engraving shows large ancient buildings, such as: Teocalli in Mexico, the gate of Labnah, Tusapan, the palace of Uxmal, etc.
- The upper margin bears the title ‘ARCHITECTURE’, and the upper right corner is printed with ‘Lam. 19’, which identifies it as Engraving number 19 in a series on architecture.
- The lower margin contains the identifications of the different buildings that appear in the engraving, such as a mural decoration in a room in the palace of Mitla, the palace of the nuns of Uxmal, etc.
- Etched engraving on steel, although another technique could also have been used.
- Made in a single black tone, very well inked, centred with acceptable margins and good printing.
