Beautiful piece of "Memory", which initially had a small sundial in its circular enclosure. It is made of wood from the "Old Prison of Newgate", which burned down in 1780. As the inscription on the plaque on the side reads. The inscription of the Plate can be read in its entirety in the corresponding photo. It has a very interesting natural patina of the time, with marks on its surface that give it a very attractive aspect. The parallelepiped form is not uniform, with differences in dimensions between its different edges.

This piece can serve as Pedestal for any type of piece, and especially for Balls. Likewise, it can be given many other utilities, like paperweights. It is a rare and difficult piece to find.
