Description:
Nice teapot for individual use, for the small size it has. It has manufacturer"s marks on the outer face of the bottom. Due to the type of brands that it has registered, it could very well be from the second half of the 18th century. The marks that contain the MA anagram, flanged by a watermark, are repeated, since one of them is stepped on by a third brand. The watermark is only visible on one of the sides, due to its "stroke" of irregular inscription.
The brand that seems to represent a flower, steps on one of the other brands, and is pretty good at having taken care of its pretty regular "hit" of inscription.
We think it is from Peltre Fino, 95% tin and 5% copper approximately. To ensure the composition of the metals of the alloy, the respective analysis would have to be done.
The cover rotates on a pin hinge with pin. The lower fin has a shape close to the triangular, being coupled to the upper part of the handle, and welded to it. On the side of the turn, the fin has three separate rings, which allow to be blended with the rings of the other fin.
The upper fin has a shape that suggests to vegetable shoots, being coupled to the upper part of the lid, and welded to it. On the side of the turn, the fin has two separate rings, which allow to be blended with the rings of the other wing.
When the perforated rings of the fins are blown, a hollow cylinder is formed, into which a bolt has been inserted, riveted at both ends to prevent it from coming out. The body of the teapot is made in two parts, and then welded inside. The spout is welded to the bottom.
Very interesting as a collector"s item and decorative element. Spectacular in an illuminated niche, with minimalist decoration.
