Instrumental Plummet WITHOUT Nut. Threaded head. Monument Brand. (T)

Description:
- Instrumental plumb bob from the second half of the 20th century without a nut and therefore incomplete. Bronze weight, with a threaded spherical head.
- The pear-shaped weight is 8.8 cm high, 3.6 cm in diameter and weighs 207 gr.
- It has an inscription with the number "4", which corresponds to the size of the weight.
- The head bears the inscription "MONUMENT BRAND". It corresponds to the English "Monument Brand" first registered in 1908, which previously started as "A Collier & Co". The brand still exists today, under the name "Monument Tools".
- The body of the weight is made of bronze with an iron tip.
- A very good and beautiful patina is preserved throughout the Plumb bob. The execution quality of the Plumb bobn is good.
- The Plumb bob is probably made in the south of Europe.

Conservation and Damage:
- The Plumb bob is in good state of conservation, having the Weigh many, but very small blows and rubs, all this corresponding to a quite careful use of the Plumb.
- The Plumb bob presents the typical wear of its time.

Comments:
- Both the measures and the weight are approximate.
- The fact that a plumb has some distinctive, mark or contrast, different from the number of its size, is a very scarce detail and of great importance for the interest of the plumb.
- Very interesting as a collector- Because it is inevitable the differences of tonalities between photos and reality, you must have in mind that the tones of the colours in the photos are not exactly the same as the tones of the real colours.
