Description:
- Incomplete Instrumental plumb bob of the second half of the 20th century, with a solid nickel-plated iron weight and without preserving the nut.
- The body of the weight is cone-shaped, 7,6 cm. long, 3,3 cm. diameter and 200 gr. weight, with threaded head.
- The head has a brass thread and is shaped like a small cylinder.
- We think that the plumb bob is nickel plated, although it could be chrome plated.
- Very good and nice patina is preserved all over the plumb bob. The quality of the iron casting, and of the execution of the plumb bob, is very good.
- No distinctive mark or contrast has been found that could provide information about the place where it was made, the maker"s details, or any other information.
- The plumb bob was probably made in southern Europe.
Conservation and Damage:
- The plumb bob is in a good state of preservation, although the Weight has several knocks and scratches, both on the edges and edges, as well as on the faces.
- The plumb bob shows the wear and tear of it's age.
