- Sewn binding of very good execution, with guillotined cuts, from the Second Half of the 19th Century.
- Text and engravings in single-colour black printing, except for the lithographed plate which is in colour, very good ink, well centred and with good margins.
- Book printed on tan paper, of medium thickness and good quality.
- Hard covers embossed with publisher"s impression, with parchment corners. Bone and maroon in colour.
- Covers in very good condition, only volume III has a torn corner.
- Front and back covers embossed. Lacks dust jackets.
- The spine is stamped in gilt "History of the Greeks. Volume I. Volume II. Volume III".
Conservation and damage:
- General Condition: Very Good. They are almost intact, unused.
- Sewn binding in very good condition.
- Cuts splashed with fine dark flecks, very well preserved and without soiling.
- The pages are in good condition, with no tears or stains. The pages are slightly darkened at the edges due to age.
- The book has not suffered from external aggressions such as humidity, insect attacks, rodents, etc.
- The pages are in very good condition, with the following exception:
* Page 367-368 of volume II, has a torn corner without being completely torn. We are restoring it.
- The Book shows wear and tear typical of it"s age.
Comments:
- Both the measurements and the weight are approximate.
- In order to take the photos of the inside pages, they have been held with tweezers.
- The tones of the colours in the photos are not the same as the tones of the real colours.
