Carved pincushion box. Incense burner tube. S. XX.

Description:
- Box of vegetable bone in the shape of a tube.
- We think it could be a pincushion from the period or a tube to hold incense.
- The box opens and closes by screwing it shut. The tube is divided into five openings with six compartments, plus the top (head), which is divided into two compartments.
- It is very curious, as one of the compartments separates the head from the tube, and the body remains as a closed tube or box, with the carving at the top of the tube ending in a seven-pointed star.
- The material is vegetable bone, probably coconut or similar.
- The entire tube is painstakingly carved by hand.
- No distinctive markings, markings or contrasting marks have been found that could provide information on where it was made, the maker"s details, or any other information.
Condition and damage:
- The box is complete and in good condition.
- The top of the head has a small broken part, which does not affect it"s use.
- The Object shows wear typical of it"s age.
