- Sewn binding of regular execution, with untreated guillotined cuts.
- Text and Illustrations in single colour printing in black, very good ink, well centred and with good margins.
- Book printed on white paper, of medium thickness and regular quality.
- Hard covers in green half leather and black paper.
- Spine with gilt horizontal irons. The name of the printer 'AYGUAL DE IZCO' (as if he were the author of the book), the title 'AVENTURAS DE UN VIAJERO' and the name of a previous owner 'E. CHUECOS'.
- Flyleaves with thin water paper.
Conservation and Damage:
- General condition bad and fatigued. Binding sewn in regular condition.
- The engraving on page 483 is repeated at the end of the book, printed on thick pink paper.
- The two leaves corresponding to pages 331, 332 and 333, 334 are torn, with approximately one third of each of them missing. Reproductions of the two incomplete pages have been inserted in order to provide the full text.
- Pages 393, 394 are torn without affecting the text and have been repaired.
- The pages are generally in good condition, with small tears and stains.
- The title page has the name, written in pen, of a previous owner, coinciding with the name stamped on the spine.
- The book has several leaves and engravings with notes, annotations and signatures, scratches and various marks, both in ink and pencil. An example can be seen in the photographs of the backs of the engravings between pages 328 and 331.
- Due to rubbing, the covers have lost some of their paper, mainly at the edges. The tips are very deteriorated.
- The cuts are in fair condition, with some soiling. The upper edge is slightly dirtier.
- The book has not suffered from external aggressions such as humidity, insect attacks, rodents, etc.
- The book shows wear and tear typical of it
