Description of the Content:
- The book, written in French, is a tragedy written by Oscar Wilde in 1891, which shows, in one single act, a very personal version of the biblical story of Salome.
- The work was originally published in French. Wilde did not obtain a licence to perform it, as the regulations of the time forbade the performance of biblical themes.

Description of the book:
- Very good general condition.
- Bound in vintage leather, of exceptional execution, from the First Half of the 20th century.
- The text is printed in black monochrome, very well inked, with good printing, well centred and with good margins.
- The illustrations printed in two colours black and pink, very good in ink, with good printing, well centred and with good margins.
- Text and illustrations printed on white hollowed paper, thick and very good quality.
- Hard covers of full red skin, with golden and dry iron perimetrals.
- Spine in full red leather, with golden irons, and with the title "Salome".
- The water paper Guards, with golden perimetral irons inside the covers.
Conservation and damage:
- General condition Very good.
- The meeting between the covers and the spine is open at both ends, the front guard having been broken. The spine, at its lower end, is slightly separated from the body of the book.
- Golden cuts, very well preserved, with minimum scratches and clean.
- The pages of the text are in good condition, slightly darkened at the edges, with slight rust spots.
- The book has not suffered any external aggressions such as humidity, insect or rodent attacks, etc.

Comments:
- Both the measurements and the weight are approximate.

- To make the photos of the interior pages, these have been held with tweezers.

- Because it is inevitable the differences of tonalities between photos and reality, you must bear in mind that the tones of the colours in the photos are not exactly the same as the tones of the real colours.

- The book for sale is the one corresponding to the photos, which in turn are complemented in this Description, with the aim of providing a better knowledge of the Object, and never being a detailed exhibition of it.
