Bone, brass and steel tracer lines. S.XIX

Description:
- A three-piece tyraline from the second half of the 19th century. It would probably belong to a compass box.
- The handle is screwed to the body of the reeds. It is made of bone, and is set in a cylindrical base of white metal alloy.
- The body has a white metal alloy head and chrome-plated or nickel-plated steel tongues.
- The tips of the reeds are in very good condition. The distance between the tongues is adjusted by means of a brass wheel with a threaded pin through the upper tongue, threaded into the lower tongue.
- The tongue, crossed by the bolt, can be rotated on the head of the body of the tongues, in order to make cleaning and maintenance easier.
- The base of the handle ends in a beautifully carved miniature ball.
- On the bottom tab is engraved the word "Foreign".
- The fact that the object has a Distinctive, Mark or Contrast is of great importance in order to be able to identify data such as its maker, the place where it was made and other details.
Preservation and damage:
- There are small scratches on the tips, due to use.
- The Object shows the wear and tear typical of it"s age.
