Description:
- Engraving of the Tower of Gossler, located in Kusnacht, Switzerland.
- All the titles and signatures are outside the plate.
- In the upper margin is the legend 'Kuusnacht - Kusnacht - Küssnacht'.
- In the lower margin is the legend ,Tour de Gossler - Gossler,s Tower - Gessler,s Thurm,.
- The number ,11, is printed in the upper right-hand corner, suggesting that the engraving is number 11 in a series.
- In the lower part of the engraving, in the centre, the Engraver signs only as Rouargue, so it is by one of the two Rouargue brothers. In our opinion, the author of the engraving plate is most probably Adolphe Rouargue (1810 - 1870).
- Chalcographic etching on steel plate, although another technique could also have been used.
- It is in single-colour black tone, very well inked.
- It is probably an engraving belonging to a book.
Conservation and Damage:
- General condition: Good.
- The upper side of the paper does not keep the parallel to its opposite side, resulting in an irregularly shaped engraving paper.
- The ink is very good and the print is well stamped.
- The engraving has a medium-thickness paper of regular quality.
- The engraving has suffered from humidity, so the paper has small humidity stains and rust spots, all of which are more pronounced as we get closer to the edges.
- The engraving is dirty, and the edges are much dirtier, with very small tears, and the tips are slightly deteriorated with slight bending.
- A light washing and bleaching would be a very good result.
Comments:
- Measurements are approximate.

- The tones of the colours in the photos are not the same as the tones of the real colours.
