Description:
- Used postage stamp, 50 MM Marks, from Germany, year 1923. Light blue.
- On the obverse it has a circle filled with a watermark with the figure ‘50 Milliarden’ (Fifty Billion). At the top is the legend ‘Deutsches Reich’. In each corner, outside the circle, is a trumpet. At the bottom is the figure ‘50,000,000,000,000’ with an ‘M’ at the end.
- The reverse is clean, with the exception of the postmark.
- Vertical toothing:18. Vertical perforations:17.
- Horizontal indentation:15. Horizontal perforations:14.
- Irregular unreadable postmark.
- Printed on medium thick paper of good quality, very light off-white, made in Light Blue monochrome, very good ink, good stamping and poor centring.
- No distinctive, mark or contrast has been found, which could give more information about this Postal Stamp.
Conservation and Damage:
- General condition: Good.
- The stamp has not been recently washed, so it preserves part of the hinge, and therefore part of the gum.
- The paper is clean and has no rust.
- Toothed very badly preserved, with some parts missing.
- There are no faults or breaks in the stamp.
- The postage stamp shows the deterioration of its time.
