Description:
- Oil on canvas glued to cardboard, of a sunrise over the bay.
- It is signed by Balastegui. Its author, Antonio Bautista Balastegui (1909-1995), emphasises the seascapes and landscapes of Alicante, especially the roads and fields of almond trees. He studied abstract art for years. He also worked in watercolour, sanguine, ink and charcoal, but most of his work is in oil. He also produced some small sculptures in wood.
- The painting shows a sunrise over a bay. It is a dark painting, with black figures in the foreground.
- The artistic quality and execution is good. With a fine line, the brushstrokes are very loose, which gives a great liveliness to the oil painting.
