Description:
- Used postage stamp, 1 1/2 pence, from Australia, year 1915-1923. Reddish brown colour.
- On the Obverse has the Bust in profile looking left of George V, with the Cipher ‘1 1/2’ in its lower corners. On the lower side the legend ‘THREE HALF PENCE’.
- Reverse is clean, with the exception of the postmark.
- Vertical toothing:20. Vertical perforations:19.
- Horizontal indentation:17. Horizontal perforations:15.
- Postmark with horizontal lines not legible.
- Printed on medium thick paper of good quality, very light off-white, made in reddish brown monochrome, very good ink, good stamping and good centring.
- No distinctive, mark or contrast has been found, which could give more information about this Postal Stamp.
Conservation and Damage:
- General condition: Good.
- The stamp has been recently washed, so the gum is missing.
- The paper is clean and has no rust.
- Some of the teeth are very scarce.
- There are no faults or breaks on the stamp.
- The postage stamp shows the deterioration of it’s time.
