Description:

- Cloisonné or honeycomb enamel is an ancient technique for the decoration of metal objects, using glazed enamel, and in ancient periods also using inlays of precious stones, glass and other materials.

Conservation and Damage:
- The dish is in a good state of preservation.
- The cloisonné is not very well executed, and there are small lumps in the enamel.
- It has small dents and scratches due to age.
- There are several dents on the back, a larger one in the central area and the rest on the edges of the plate, probably due to a fall.
- The object has the wear and tear of it's age.
