Description:
- Used postage stamp, of 5 Crowns, from Austria, from the year 1883. Pink and Black.
- On the obverse it has Austrian National Coat of Arms, with the Cipher ‘5’ in the centre and ‘Kr’ at the bottom. On the upper side the legend ‘Kals Königl Oesterr. Post’.
- The reverse is clean, with the exception of the postmark.
- Vertical toothing:13. Vertical perforations:12.
- Horizontal indentation:11. Horizontal perforations:10.
- Circular postmark with not legible legends.
- Printed on medium thick paper of good quality, very light off-white, made in monochrome Pink tone, with the legends in Black, very good ink, good stamping and a bad centring.
- No distinctive, mark or contrast has been found, which could give more information about this Postal Stamp.
Conservation and Damage:
- General condition: Good.
- The stamp has been recently washed, so the gum is missing.
- The paper is clean and has no rust.
- Some of the teeth are scarce.
- There are no faults or breaks on the stamp.
- The postage stamp shows the deterioration of it's time.
