Description:
- Beautiful domestic bell, made of bronze including the clapper ball and the yoke. The hook is made of iron.
- This type of bell was used for various purposes, the most common use was to warn of the presence of certain animals, for which it was hung from the animal's collar, but this is not the case with this bell as it is very small.
- The shoulder, the upper part of the bell, is smooth. The half-foot, where the clapper strikes, has a lowered ring.
- The yoke that remains is the original one, and consists of a bronze piece with a shape close to elliptical, anchored to the handle by means of a bolt riveted on both sides.
- The hook has a lot of rust, but the ball is in very good condition, with no rust, as it is made of bronze.
- The bell is used, as the inside of the half-foot has several marks from the clapper.
- The ring/ring is very simple, with an elegant design.
- After careful analysis of the bell, we have come to the conclusion that it is cast in two parts.
- In the first phase, the cup is cast, leaving a hollow at the top. In the second phase, the handle is cast, to which the ring is attached, and which is inserted through the hole left in the cup.
- No distinctive mark or contrast has been found that could provide information on where it was made, the manufacturer's details or any other information.
